In its third round of StARTup Business Development Awards, the ECRDA announced grant awards totaling $25,000 to seven applicants.
“We’re thrilled to announce the latest round of StARTup grant winners. The StARTup grants are designed to fund new businesses or new business ventures of for-profit companies that are creative in nature,” said Mengine, CEO of the Erie County Redevelopment Authority.
The grants are competitive in nature and applicants are evaluated based on their demonstrated plan for growth and potential to have a positive economic impact on the Erie community.
Blair Mead, Azeylo Technology founder and award winner commented, “We look forward to using this grant to advance our technology for positive change, to create a whole new industry that, at the local level that will mean green manufacturing jobs, and at a global level will mean a new way of living.”
To date, $82,000 in StARTup grants have been awarded to 22 creative businesses through program.

• Murals by Antonio Howard
• Primo Tailoring
• Azeylo Technology
Grants will be presented at an awards ceremony on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 3:30pm at City Gallery, 1503 State Street.
