Cathryn Easterling

Director of Neighborhood and Economic Development, City of Erie

Cathryn Easterling is the Director of Neighborhood and Economic Development for the City of Erie, where she oversees the Bureau of Economic & Community Grants, the Bureau of Building, Standards and Safety, and the Bureau of Planning and Zoning. In this role, she works to align public policy, regulatory systems, and investment to support sustainable and equitable growth across the city.

Cathryn previously served as a Lead Community Development Analyst at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, advising Governor Bowman, Barr and Cook on national community development finance issues, economic conditions, and equitable access to capital. Throughout her career, she has led multimillion-dollar investment portfolios and developed programs that support small businesses and entrepreneurs.

A proud Erie native, Cathryn grew up on the lower east side of Erie and attended Erie Public Schools before earning a degree in Finance from Marshall University, where she competed as a Division I track athlete.
