Today, Tina Mengine, CEO of Erie County Redevelopment Authority (ECRDA), announced the ECRDA’s 2023 4TH quarter lending at $3,837,160, placing the 2023 total year at $13,999,599. “This represents a record high for us, topping 2022 which was also a record high at $12,216,619, said Mengine, President & CEO of ECRDA.

In its seventh round of StARTup Business Development Grant Awards, the ECRDA announced grant awards totaling $27,500 to six applicants.

It's expected to take decades and millions of dollars to clean up the site. In less than 2½ years, the Erie County Redevelopment Authority purchased the former Erie Malleable Iron Co. complex, tore down some of the buildings and completed an extensive environmental cleanup.

A retail space is planned for the first floor of the renovated Avalon Hotel in downtown Erie.
